I soldered wires to the speaker outs on the harness and ran it back to the alpine amp speaker level inputs, I didn't take a picture of the final wiring I did to the harness or id show you. The 9 conductor wire I used worked perfect 8 wires tied into the amp and the last one I used for the amp remote wire and wired it to the harness I used.

but this is what I used to solder to the harness https://www.amazon.com/Stinger-SGW99...conductor+wire

Nice, I like your setup! I read on a Audi forum, that a handful of OP used theyre oem subharness wires (2) to get the signal (music), as well as for the remote turn on, to the Alpines far right 2 wirez on the high level inputs! As our Alpine amp, has auto sensing High Level inputs.

So itll use the High level inputs to send the music signal, and turn the amp on and off. Without needing to run rcas and a remote turn on wire, which I love that!

I just hope the dealer, doesnt fleece me, to enable the oem sub connector for me! I think its dumb, its not already enabled for use!

I tried using a 2x4 ( for my box to sit on), and drilled holes in it to sit over the bolts! But, it caused my box to sit just high enough, to not fit in the indention below the right side seat latch! As my box is 13.5" high.

So I broke out my band saw, and trimmed the seatbelt bolt by 1 & 1/4". Was enough for the box to sit flatly in the cabs indentation, and left 4 full threads above the bolt! I covered the trimmed bolt, with some of the padding I cutoff the back wall.

Wanted to add a Pic, of my Alpine amp installed & working. As it arrived tonight, and I was able to swing by the Dealer on my way home from work, to get my rear Sub connector enabled On! My buddy at the Dealership, said he wasn't aware there was a Spare connector if the truck didn't come with a sub, and that it could be Enabled.

Tech, was surprised too.. As I used it to get the Music & Remote Turn On Signal to my amp. Service buddy, said to swing back by tommorrow, to let him know if it worked, as I didn't have my Amp yet. He wanted to know for future reference, and for future customers! Service Tech, double checked after turning ignition off, that it stayed Enabled. Since, there wasn't a Sub connected yet! He said sometimes the vehicle will Unenable the option(new to me)? But, it didn't...

I cut a piece of 1x10x9 plywood, wrapped in carpet (to avoid any rattels), then screwed the amp down to the plywood, through the oem carpet padding!

So far, it works great, and I'm happy with the Much needed Bass addition...

The Kenwood sub is a a great shallow sub, I bought mine in 2007 for my work truck and it still sounds great today zero issues with it. for a shallow sub it hits pretty good and in the Pioneer box it works well.

The Pioneer box is good but not perfect, If you have the skills making a custom box would be better, if you don't you can't go wrong with it as it fits pretty perfectly behind the seat. An under the seat box might be a better rout if you do not mind giving up floor space for it, for me Its a good trade off of not wanting to give up my floor space and having Bass.

Thanks for your good advice. I am thinking of getting some MDF and build a box of my own and fit in a 12" sub to it. Running a Rockford Fosgate PS8 now. It is nice but I want more
