If my box won't fit behind the rear seat, I'm going to remove the underneath storage piece. Then put the sub box under the seat!

Cancelled the RF Amp, and went with the Alpine MRV-M500 mono amp.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

As the Alpine, has Auto sensing high level inputs. So I can tap only my rear speakers, and this amp will get the music signal, as well as the Auto turn on. No need for the Line Out Converter, or seperate turn on wire.

Which I love the idea of less crap to run!

Got my Sub, and all my wiring Installed! Just Waiting for my Amp to arrive via USP, this Monday! Then have to swing by my dealer, to have the oem sub connector Activated, as well.

God, I'm not good at Waiting...

Ha, awesome brother... Thats the same spot, Im mounting my amp! I placed a 1x10x10, behind the padded carpet, to secure my Alpine to! Is that what you did?

Yours appears to be a 8" sub, as the box sits a bit lower, and you used a 2x4, to sit the box on...

Thanks
Its a 10" sub, I used a 2x4 and used a hole saw to cut a hole in it to go over the seat bolts so the sub would sit on a flat surface. then used a 1/2 inch x 10 x10 mdf covered in speaker carpet and mounted it to the 2x4 for the amp to mount to, similar to what you did.

Sweet....

How did you get you audio signal and remote turn on to you Alpine? I tapped the oem sub harness purple and green wire, for both!

When I installed the pioneer amp https://www.f150forum.com/f30/my-xlt-install-347367/

I soldered wires to the speaker outs on the harness and ran it back to the alpine amp speaker level inputs, I didn't take a picture of the final wiring I did to the harness or id show you. The 9 conductor wire I used worked perfect 8 wires tied into the amp and the last one I used for the amp remote wire and wired it to the harness I used.

but this is what I used to solder to the harness https://www.amazon.com/Stinger-SGW99...conductor+wire
