Default 04-08 Door Speaker Upgrades

Who has upgraded their door speakers? I have a 07' screw and am planning on upgrading mine and just want some feedback. Did you go with the same size speaker/coaxle or did you use a mounting plate to use different size component set?

Also are buying baffles worth the money? bass blockers worth the money?

I want to a better sound but i dont want to get into major fab work. Anybody have any input? pictures?

Thanks.

I put some Infinity 6030cs's in the front of my 06 Screw. They are 6.5's with the tweeter in the stock location.

An improvement over stock definitely but they will really shine once the amp comes.

Skip the baffles, you shouldn't need bass blockers for the low power of the stock head unit.

I've got 6.75" comps in my front doors (Pioneer Premier TS-D720C), sound great (even before the amp was added) and the Pioneers even came with 6x8 to 6.75 adapter plates.

Here's a review: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/St...E720Review.pdf
The regular pioneer TS-D1720C are the same thing with a shorter warranty.

I found the premiers online for $120 six months or so ago.

Are you runnning a set of 4 or just two upfront?
What amp are you using?

Getting ready to pull the trigger on my upgrade, but still on the fence!

Just two up front, my rears are disconnected (personal preference).

Feeding them 100W RMS each from the front two channels of my Kenwood eXcelon KAC-X4R, the rears are bridged for 300W to my sub.
