02 Screw Audio Recommendations?
I've decided to start spending some money on my Truck. I have already replaced the head unit with a Kenwood KDC-MP442U. I'm looking on crutchfield.com to buy an amplifier, 4 speakers and a sub. My budget is <1000 on parts and I've met that but I don't know anything about the parts I'm looking at. This is my first car audio purchase and I'm doing it because I like rock music (Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Slipknot, etc.) and want to get better performance than the stock system. What do y'all think about the below parts? Has anyone used these before or know any reviews by people that have? Are there any gotchas I should know about?
MTX Amplified Thunderforms including 10" sub + 200 watt amp $549
Kenwood KAC-8405 4-channel amplifier 60watts RMS x 4 $199
(4) Kenwood KFC-C593PS 3-way Speakers 5"x7' 79.99 (per pair)
subtotal: $909.96
Thanks for the help in advance!

I've not dealt with Kenwood amps or the MTX Box, but if you have any room left in the budget ($90-ish?), I would recommend upgrading the front speakers to components so you place the tweeter higher up in the cab than the door will permit.
If you prefer Kenwood, they have a 5.25 component for around $120/pr. There are other manufacturers (Infinity, Polk, Boston Acoustics, etc) and their prices vary.

Senior almost
Definately do components up front.. Sound twice as good and you dont have to spend twice the money.. I personally dont like Kenwood amps personal choice. For similar pricing you can get Mb Quart or Tarantula amps.. http://www.soundstream.com/AudioProd.../tarantula.htm
I would do the TX4.440 or TX 4.560 then add a mono block for sub. Economy wise you could do Rockford 600.5 so you only need one... you can get one for 250 - 300 typically ..

Thats my opinion...
