Hi, I'm from central Illinois, I'm a semi-retired Ironworker and am 62 and currently own a 1994 F150 XLT but soon plan to purchase a new F150 XLT 5 liter with rear wheel drive, super cab (extended cab), 6 1/2 foot bed and 3:55 ratio rear end with limited slip. I soon plan on making my winters in Texas for 5 months at at time, either central TX or even in the Rio Grande Valley. I plan on buying a Shadow Cruiser travel trailer and when fully loaded it will weigh about 7500 lbs. Also, I plan on hauling a 460 lb. Triumph motorcycle in the back of my truck for cheap transportation and fun when we get to TX. My wife can't wait to go. Does anyone think I'll have any trouble at all with a 5 liter V8 towing a 7500 lb. full loaded travel trailer with a 460 lb. motorcycle in the truck bed traveling approx. 1000 to 1200 miles one way? My brother says get a F250, but I think I'll be OK with the 5 liter with no bigger trailer than i'll be getting (http://www.cruiserrv.com/shadow-crui...fications.html). Anyone with any suggestions or input?? Thank you

I still live in Southern Michigan and am still a retired construction worker who makes furniture now. I have the same blue F150 and it still runs great
