I'm an industrial electrician in the chicagoland area. Just bought a brand new ford for the first time. Weathertech floor mats, line-x, and lund tonneau seal-n-peel cover. Looking forward to putting on cat back exhaust system.

Small company(200 people) CEO. Started the company , still believe that American goods, made in the USA by American people are the best in the world and i moved here 25 years ago from Europe. Doing my best to provide decent jobs and support families in need.
And no i am not one of thoseCEOs making millions, a lot of people working in my company make a lot more then i do and thats the way i like it.
Bought my first ever truck (fx4 with 5.0) and love it.

Aircraft Maintenance Technician for major airline at DFW. Love to camp, boat, and bird hunt. Glad the summer heat is coming to an end. Can't wait to take the first camping trip with the new truck.

I am 62 years old and live in central Illinois and am a semi-retired Ironworker. I currently own an older 1994 F150 XLT with a straight 4.9 six cylinder in good shape. I plan to soon purchase a new F150 with a 5 liter V8 with rear wheel drive and extended cab and 6 1/2 ft. bed and 3:55 limited slip. From what i have read, this is enough to tow 9500 lbs. I then plan on purchasing a 285RLS Shadow Cruiser Travel Trailer (7500 lbs. fully loaded) and make Texas my winter home for 4 to 5 months each year - either central TX or maybe even further south in the Rio Grande valley. I play on hauling my Triumph Bonneville T100 in the back of the pickup to have "inexpensive / fun transportation" for shorter trips while in Texas. No more cold IL winters for me - wife is anxious to go too. I did think strongly about an ecoboost but it's really not a "proven" engine yet, so I am hesitant. How many agree with me??
PS: I feel that the 5 liter will be more than enough engine to tow a 7500 lb. travel trailer with a 460 lb. motorcycle in the back of the truck. Anyone agree or disagree with me?? Thanks

Just joined... I'm a long haul trucker from Cambridge, ON, Canada. I travel across US and Canada in my big rig, and when I come back home I'm happy to get behind the wheel of my 2011 Ford F-150 XL with a 5.0 L V8
