Default Well, I didn't plan on being here

Well, my name is Max.

I live in Cantonment, FL

I do security work / whatever side jobs I can get, I do a lot of light wheeling, but thats gonna change somewhat, I'm moving toward more of the family setting in live, either who..

I had a 94 ford bronco, that I've had for quite some time now, and well, last week on thursday, it caught fire, total loss

I am looking at purchasing a 2001-2003 supercrew F150 anything anyone can help me out with, on what too look for?

The one I'm probably gonna buy is

2001 Supercrew Lariet
leather seats
sunroof
5.4L V8
4WD
Dual exhaust
120k miles

Is there anything I need to look out for on these trucks when purchasing?
I could really use some help, when it comes to newer vehicles, I know nothing.

Thanks for reading, I hope to start frequenting here,
Max

They were asking 15,900 for it, I offered him 10,000 for it, he said no, and as soon as I walked across the street to talke to another dealer, he ran over there and told me he would accept the offer.

Welcome to the site!!! I would have definitely paid him. If he's willing to knock off $5,900 the price than he really needed to sell it. So did you take it home??

that could also be a sign that there is somethign wrong with it if he is willing to go that low that fast to get rid of it.

Our local used car place has a 02 fx4 I was looking at about 6 months ago, but you can tell it was wrecked once, the box is about 1 inch off. it started out at 17000, and its now down to 11000.

I would just be cautious of something similar.

I will be buying it today, I took it to autocheck today, and when they finished the inspection, it was to late to go to the bank.

The truck checks out, the worst thing wrong with it is its low on freon and needs either the blower motor or the switch replaced, can't remember which.
