2004 f-150 temp guage pegs hot randomly then goes back to normal randomly scan tool stays at 200 degrees a/c shutsdown when guage pegs hot has never overheated has been doing this for 8000 miles

I would replace your engine temp sensor located on your engine block... and welcome to the forum..
