Default Shimmy on steering wheel

Shimmy comes and goes on steering wheel, put new tires on and nothing, aligned and balanced... still there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the idea but not it, It only lasts for a few miles then leaves for a few miles then comes back again?

I'm thinking there was another post on here for the same thing not too long ago. Might want to do a search on it. You already replaced the rims and tires, plus it comes and goes so thats weird. Might check to make sure the 4wd actuator isn't trying to lock in. Unplug the actuator on the front diff and see if that helps.

If it's not in the brake pedal but tends to thump and shake the wheel at over 30, check your sway bar end links to see if their bad. If they are this could cause that type of a symptom.

Hope this helps you out.

Default Update

So this is what I have found. My first 2 sets of 185/40/22 Falken balanced just fine when I first bought the truck. Then my wife surprised me with new tires but they did not replace them with old size but with 205/45/22. I have not been able to balance these tires at all. The first 205/45/22 that would not balance were Venizia brand tires. I had only used Falken brand so I took the Venizia off and purchased a set of Falken 205/45/22. I was not aware that the size was changed for I did not purchase them. The new set of Falken did not balance either. I have since then returned the Falken 205/45/22 back and I have received credit from Falken. I went into some old pictures of the tire and wheels and looked at the size and found the originals to be 185/40/22. I believe it's the height and width that is throwing the balance off. The 185/40/22 kept the same radius of my stock tires and wheels but the 3rd and 4th set of 205/45/22 stood 1-1/2 in. taller and about 1 in wide on the inside and out.
I am still waiting on the credit to roll down to my tire dealer to test the 5th set of 185/40/22 Falken. FYI-the stock tires are being used and no shimmy is observed.
Hope this helped.
