Default possibly a new owner

Hey guys, I currently own a 2006 dodge cummins and have been contemplating switching over the the 150. My wife, our two kids and I went to the dealership Saturday and test drove a new 2011 F150 Screw with the EB motor. That truck is simply amazing. I don't see why it wouldn't do everything I currently ask of my truck, which isn't much. Has anyone else switched to a 150 from a diesel? If so, why and how are you liking your decision?

Great to be a member regardless of the way I go, but for some reason I can't get the new 150 out of my head! I might go drive a 5.0 today as well just to compare the two.

I have borrowed my buddies 2006 3/4 Cummins quite a few times to use for dirtbike duty, towing and all that. The truck has some decent mods (airbags, exhaust, fuel map...etc) and the biggest difference is the ride, the noise, and the smell :P The beast gets around 20mpg on the highway and 16mpg in town, same as the EB.... just without the sound and stink.

I think ford has nailed it as far as making a valuable option to the Cummins.

Just going through some old threads I was involved in and updating things. I had compounds on my dodge, last time I was on the dyno it did 850/1620 so it was running pretty good. It was also chewing up transmissions every 20K which with as much as I drive ends up being about every 10 months. I bought a 2014 f150 with the Fx4 appearance package in June of 2014 I have since put on 19K miles and absolutely love this thing. I do miss my truck, but who wouldn't with that much HP on tap? That is about the only thing I miss tho, this thing is superior in everyway other than all out power and speed. We added rear dvd players in the head rests for the kids as this is our new family car as well. I think in the future I will upgrade the shocks, add a level kit, maybe some 33s, probably a diablo sport tune, tint and upgrade the sony stereo. All in all I am glad I bought this truck! The ecoboost leaves a little to be desired as far as "eco" goes my lifetime average as of right now is 14.61 which really isn't terrible considering it is 50/50 mileage. The best I have gotten on the hwy is 17 which I feel is decent considering I drive between 80-85 everywhere I go. Looking forward to see what comes of my new truck. I typically keep trucks 8 years or so which would put me around 240K give or take a few. Looks like I will get to check out the durability and longevity first hand! I will give periodic updates as time goes on! Glad to finally have a F150 like the rest of you guys!

Keep the Dodge if you want the torque and power. F-150 are great trucks if you want a quiet carlike ride, like I do and still be able to carry in the bed. One of my sons has 3 Dodges with Cummins motors. One has over a million miles and counting.

I already got rid of the dodge. I love my 150 tho! What truck is that in your avatar? It looks like. 70s model ford but on my iPad its so small I can't make it out.
