Hi all,
My name is Doug and i wanted to say hi. Just traded my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with the Hemi on my 2008 F150 STX. New to this generation of F150 but not to Ford. I owned several Rangers and F-series before the Ram. I will be asking you guys and gals alot of questions about these new 1/2 tons, (my last 1/2 Ford was a 1992 with the 300 straight six). Can't wait to start adding goodies to my new truck. Look forward to talking with and learning from you all.

Thanks for the welcomes guys. So far I think the STX is a far superior to my old 1500 ST regular cab short bed. The only thing that I really miss is the Hemi's power, but to be fair the Triton is only 281 cubic inches versus the Hemi's 345. In the first tank I notice a 4 m.p.g. increase with a heavier truck with the same 3.55 gears in the diff's and only a 4-speed versus a 5-speed (both automatics). I have already been bitten by the mod bug. I got a couple of things on order.
