New from Virginia Beach, convince me to buy a new F150
Hi. New to the forum. Considering buying a new 2015 F150 to replace my two year old Tacoma. Love my Tacoma, but have an urge to get back into a "full size" truck. Convince me.

Thanks, a lot of the information is already helping me. I was hoping to go look at some F150's today but got tied up with some other errands. As I said in my introduction, I really like my Tacoma. It's only two years old and has low mileage, but I am very impressed with the new F150 and the incentives are crazy good. I also just took a tour of the River Rouge plant two weeks ago. Really got my interest. We'll see.

I love these "convince me" posts...
The Tacoma is nice, but for little more money, the F150 is in a different league. I had an 07 Tacoma, and while fun, it was less powerful, less roomy, less capable (payload / towing wise), noisier, 5-speed auto vs 6, got just as bad mileage than the '11 and now '13 F150. The '15 are even better on all these aspects.
The only areas where the Tacoma was better was in city driving / parking, and offroad (stock for stock). The 36 gallon tank on the F150 is also a big plus for hwy driving, 500-600+ miles instead of 300 max with the Tacoma...
Given that a fully-loaded Tacoma here is pushing $40-45k CAD, it makes little sense vs a heavily-discounted high-trim F150...

You did for sure, thank you. It was difficult to part with my Tacoma for sure. It was like brand new. But I wanted to get back into a full size truck and with the Ford incentives, this was the best time to do it.

I drove a Tacoma for 4-5 years, beating on it on construction sites, driving 5 hrs each way in the middle of nowhere to and from work, and it never let me down (except for the one time I got a stick through the rad, my bad!).
It was a great truck, and there is obviously a market for it, but for the $ they want for it now and the lack of engine improvements, it's tough to justify it against a full-size truck...
Enjoy the new F150!
