New owner, first F150
Howdy all
I just bought a 2014 super crew XLT with Ecoboost to replace my much loved but extremely worn 1997 Saturn SL1. I've been driving F150s for about 10 years, since we have 3 as shop trucks, and they've all been great, so I didn't really look at anything else.
I've needed a truck for a while now. I need to start towing my race car to events rather than driving, plus my side biz requires me to haul stuff from time to time. I was using the mrs' van, but we recently replaced that (2005 Dodge) with a new Honda CRV (her choice) and I wasn't about to use that to haul wood for the fireplace.
I've had it a week. I like it. I told my 4 year old son I bought it from Darth Vader. He thinks that's cool but says it needs blasters.
So far 24 mpg hwy and 17-18 city as long as I keep my foot out of it, but it's still too early to tell what it's going to be over the long term.
Looking forward to driving this one for 19 years, too.
Anyway, here it is. I like the amenities like being able to plug my iPhone in and listen to music and make calls. To do that with my Saturn I had to put my earphones in
