I am new to this forum but not new to fords or f-150s. I'm a 50 year old father of a 9 year old boy and a sometimes understanding wife. I traded my 2010 FX4 that i really loved (till the dealer screwed it up) for a 2012 Platinum. Sure wish I kept my 2010.

Sunroof was leaking. First time at dealer they said it was the satelite antenna which I knew was wrong and I was right. it finally leaked enough that it stained the headliner pink which allowed the dealer to track it down. No problem, crap happens right? Well in fixing the issue which required a new headliner the mechanic working on it did nothing to protect the dash and console. In putting in the new headliner the 2 grey plastic pieces on both sides of the radio stack and the gloss piano black pieces around the radio and on console were scuffed up big time. Well ford had a mid year trim change on the 2010 FX4s. What was gloss piano black plastic with little pecker tracks in it was changed to gloss black with the pecker tracks being white. There was no way for the dealer to get the original black plastic for the console and no updated part# for the center stack. nothing like mismatched plastic right next to each other. the other issue is there was a recall on door reinforcements. the dealer and I agreed that my doors were rock solid so no reason to do it. Well, they did it and the doors rattled and chirped big time. after 3 trips back to the dealer and a total of 5 weeks time trying to fix it I said heck with it and traded it.
