new old f150 owner
Daughter and I just bought a 97 f150 beater truck to haul stuff for and work around daughter's new house. Have about 5 acres truck will help clean up. Engine and auto tranny run well. Rides better with new tires. 180,000+ miles when the odometer broke don't know how long ago. 
No rust, believe it or not. Looking to the forum for how-tos. Have new worm gear for the odo, new shift lever (plastic OD end broke off the old one), and new headliner material to install. Tach's shot, looking tonight for fixes. Prolly junk yard replacement. Gotta check brakes - travel seems too far and mushy, and has a clunking sound in rt rear when brakes are applied. Anyway, it's a project.
