Default New from montgomery al

Just bought my first ford, and f150. It's a 1990 with the inline 6 4.9 motor, manual trans on the floor. It has a rebuilt motor with about 10k on it and about 220k on the body. What are some things to look for and out for on this truck? Being used it needs a few things battery, belt, fuel pump relay, and other small things. Or me know what you think and if I got a good deal at 1500 dollars. Pictures soon to come, I have a lot of ideas for this truck

Chaser, any truck that runs is worth $1500, except a Toyota. So you did good. Welcome to the forum.

Oh yea, "Go Bama, Roll Tide". Ain't that the way to say it....

Thank you I have a lot of plans to breathe new life into this old truck one step at a time and will post the progress. Got to get it up to par mechanically first. Any suggestions would be great.

Damn... Pulled the gas tank to fix the float on the fuel pump, since the gas gauge reads way past full at all times, and it didn't even have a float to fix.

Update, so far I've done an oil change, battery trans fluid drain and fill, changed the rear diff fluid, fuel filter fuel pump, fuel pump relay and now the fuel pressure regulator, and tensioner and pulley. Not a bad start for the first 2 weeks if I say so myself.
