Hello from Denham Springs.
Just traded a '13 F250 Extended Cab for a '16 F150 Crew. Tows and hauls about the same and the fuel economy is nearly double. I'm a happy camper so far (146 miles, but going to drill this weekend I'll have a road trip and some solid MPG numbers for about 350 additional miles to and from (and on base).

Welcome to the forum! You can't accurately judge anything as far as economy or power goes until the drivetrain has been broken in.
Giving it at least 3000 miles or so is conservative.
