new member here, just waiting to pick up my truck and figured id sign up and get some info.

im buying a 97 4x4. im waiting for the current owner to put in a new clutch. im new to fords so i hope to learn alot, but im not new to trucks (see below, my latest project.) its got a 6cyl 5spd. im hoping it gets decent mileage.. what kind of numbers is everyone getting? im gonna be using it as a work truck but hope to put a mild lift on it. im kinda short so a lift might not be too helpful lol.

here are some pics of my current project:

Something is wrong with that truck, I think you need some new shocks on it....

Welcome to the board!

I am not a fan of the lowered trucks, kinda removes their
usefulness, imho. But, to each his own. I am sure you will find
useful info here, lotsa members with plenty o'knowledge.

As for fuel economy, don't expect more than about 18-20
on the highway, at best.

ya the truck is pretty useless as far as functionality of a truck goes.. but i knew that before i built it.. im not one of those biased lifted or lower one or the other type of people, i love bagged and slammed trucks of all make, and same goes for lifted trucks.. Im hoping to pickup the f150 in the next week or so.

there many people in the omaha ne area?

my photobucket got every picture deleted so i dont have anywhere near as many pics of the s10 as i used to, this is the only pic of the rear i could find, and its before i cleaned up the bed.. (an ongoing process lol)
