New (to me) F-150
Just picked up an 89 4x4 F-150 XLT Lariat. It's been sitting for a while. Had a rear U-joint out that had to be replaced before I could get it home. It has the 4.9 ltr six in it with the 4 spd. 68,000 miles on it. 3:55 rear end, so geared a little low for freeway driving without over drive. But I can deal with that. The paint is oxidised, and a little red diamond is bringing it back. Still has FoMoCo plug wires, hoses etc. The owner said he can't remember ever replacing them. So I'll bring the maint up to date, and will be my daily driver. It's going to be a little shock to my system after what I have been driving. But I think a very good choice for a driver. I didn't pay much for it either, so that always works. We also have an 88 in the family that my son drives. Almost the same truck. No pix yet.
