Default New guy from SoCal

Been lurking on the site on and off for a while now and figured that I should introduce myself. I'm Nick, 23, from Hemet, California and as of February 2011 I'm the owner of an 06 F150 XL. Its a 2wd work truck with the 4.6L that I picked up used from a local dealer and am slowly transforming it into a mild prerunner. That being said much of my free time when not at work or college is spent in the desert either in my truck or my quad. I will try to take some pics of the truck tomorrow if at all possible. Thanks for looking.

Welcome to the boards from a fellow SoCal-er

Are you planning on a long or mid travel suspension?

I've got plans for a little of both. I've got 2.5 Sway-a-Way coilovers on it now and should have some uniball uppers in a few weeks. From there I'm either just gonna have a custom lift spindle and tie rods made for it kinda like the 'Burg 7.0 kit or just run it as is till late next year and buy an L/T kit from BTF Fabrication. The rear is gonna be some H69 deavers and a custom upper shock mount to fit 12 or 14" piggybacks.

That is one of the downsides unfortunately, however you can save some money by going with local fabricators that do work out of smaller shops or do garage fab, less overhead that way. That's my plan.
