Default New guy on board

Hey guys,

Posting a quick intro thread. I'm a diesel generator mechanic with extensive HVAC experience. I recently bought a 1998 F-150 XLT. I've had many for vehicles over the years, first time with this body style.

I'm hoping to keep my truck mostly stock, just improve on its functions. Currently has aftermarket lights (stocks were yellowing), dual exhaust (loud), and tonneau cover.

I'm thinking of some auxiliary reverse lights, OBA, power points front and rear, and 115 VAC, and a 2000W+ inverter.

Some of the vehicles I've had in the past:
1995 Nissan Terrano (pathfinder), RHD-current
1994 Toyota Surf (4Runner), RHD-scrapped, cracked heads
1996 Toyota Surf (4Runner), RHD-scrapped, just died
2001 F-250SD. 7.3L, 6 spd, 4x4, 4 door, short bed-sold to move
1988 Ranger-Bought with engine problem, sold with engine problem
1995 Chevy 1500 4x4, 5 spd, 5.7 Throttle Body-great truck
1985 F-150. Loved it, blew out the transmission
2003 Ranger-one of the best vehicles I've ever driven-4.0 SOHC, 5 spd, 4x4 , 4.10LS.
1983 Ranger-Put a 2.9 into it. Still have it. Awesome work truck. 23 MPG highway, capable off road, and can cruise at 75MPH.

Thats the short of me. I'll post up a better thread in the 97-2003 F-150 forum for some questions I have on my new toy....
