New to Ford and to F150Forum from OK
Hello Everyone!
I finally bought my first Ford F150 this past weekend and joined the rest of my family in owning a Ford truck, I'm not sure what took so long!
I purchased a 2014 White Ford F150 FX4 and love everything about it! I'm here looking for ideas for enhancements and modifications. I ordered a Tonneau cover the other night from TonneauPro and will soon be scheduling an appointment for an exhaust modification. I'm very interested in putting a 40 inch light bar behind the grill. I've seen a number of pictures and was wondering what all went into a DIY project. My concerns would be the mounting (did you have to fabricate your own brackets) and putting the switch in. I've wired everything on my boat (including speakers, lighting and switches) but I'm inexperienced with drilling into the dash/console and mounting my own switches on a vehicle.
Any ideas on how much it would cost for an auto accessory store to install a light bar I purchased elsewhere (amazon)?
