New Ford convert
Hello fellow F150 owners -
I recently converted to Ford from Chevy. I have an '07 F150 that I need to put a performance (as opposed to aesthetic) lift on. I work up in the mountains of Colorado and I am looking for a lift that will allow for 35" tires and widen the stance a little. I have not had very good luck with mainstream lift kits in the past, and was wondering if anyone has some input on the optimal lift for my truck. Also, if anyone has a recommendation on quality tires that will handle deep sticky mud, snow and ice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, welcome to the boards first of all.
As for the lift? A level kit of 2"-3" wil get you 35's unless you really want a lift. As for Mud and snow/ice, you're pushing it.
This link will help a little, but Mud tires are not ideal for the Ice as you probably know.

The new BFG's MT KM2's are not on there, but they probably rate alot better with the new tread design and I always prefer BFG's as they are just a stronger tire IMO.

Out here in Colorado, where I work, mud snow and ice are just a reality that I have to deal with on a daily basis. I am really concerned about the mud in the spring melt. The ice is usually well dealt with out here, but the snow can dump several inches in a couple of hours.
I figured that I needed the lift so that the 35's wouldn't rub. In the terrain that I work in daily, manuverabilty is key.
