New to Ford
Just five weeks ago I picked up a 2015 F150.
I had been looking at (larger) SUVs and pickups for about 8 months when I decided to get the Ford. My chosen options were the Toyota 4runner, or Toyota Tundra. As a life long GM owner (8 GMs owned), my 2008 Pontiac G6 GXP fixed me of looking in that direction.
I had test driven Nissan Titan, Frontier & Xterra, Honda Ridgeline & Pilot, Ford Explorer & F150, and Toyota 4runner, Tacoma & Tundra. I quickly ruled out the Hondas, along with the Frontier. After renting an Explorer in CA for a week, I knew it was not what I was looking for either. After a little more research and test driving, I ruled out the Titan and Xterra (though this is still considered for current SUV replacement).
It was a hard choice between the 4runner, Tundra, and F150. That is, until a friend started talking about getting a 20ft car hauler. Poof, 4runner no longer viable.
In the end, vs the Tundra, I preferred the room inside the cabin on the F150, along with the better towing capacity. Getting the 3.5l Ecoboost was a gamble (spark plug arcing, carbon build up on intake, etc.), but I pulled the trigger and ended up with the Platinum edition, 701A package.

Addendum, as I felt it was best not in the opening message:
It has already been in the shop a few times now for "keep hands on steering wheel" non-stop notifications, but I hope the last trip in fixes that. Now, I need them to tackle the cooled seat/heated back issue...
