Default New from Florida... my first truck

Hi everyone. I bought my very first truck last week. I've been looking all around this website and love what everyone has done to their trucks.

I'm totally new to everything related to vehicle maintenance... but I want to get better. So far this week I learned how to check all my fluids, and I checked and added air to all my tires. I am a girl by the way and my last car was a Mazda3. Just parking this thing took practice!

As far as I know everything is stock on my 2005 F-150 Lariat. It only has 55K miles on it so that was a plus when I bought it.

Can anyone recommend what I should do first to make it look a bit more special? This is going to be an interesting adventure!

Welcome good looking truck, you might look in to window tint as its cheap, looks good, and works for that Florida sun.

thanks! They are all great ideas!! So far the leather seats are getting a bit warm. Tinting is high on the priority list.

Deff tint those front windows, and level it out either up or down which ever you prefer. Then prob do a new grille, easy to install and also easy on the bank.

I've got the first three items planned and scheduled for professional install over the next two weeks :-)

1. Window tinting
2. Really nice stereo system with in dash navigation, pandora, bluetooth, dvd, etc
3. Custom exhaust by a local guy- its going to sound like a magnaflow and have split dual rear tips.

I like the level or lift idea too, but I want to think more about each one. Do the lifted trucks ever have a hard time in parking garages as far as clearance goes?
