New F150 Owner - 1992 Supercab 4x4 4.9L I6
Bought this truck from a dealership. It was a trade in.
It has 85k miles, manual locking hubs, a few dents, scratches and some rust along the sides. The interior is immaculate for the age.
I found this site via google. I'm looking for advice on how to best maintain the truck, improve it, and drive it.
Some questions I have:
- How do I best use the 4x4 without damaging the drivetrain on snowy roads?
- How often do I need to use 4x4 to keep the hubs lubricated? I heard from a friend that if I never use 4x4 it will make the hubs dry and I'll have to get them "repacked."
- What's the best / easiest way to fix the rust along the side bottom of the truck?
- How is this particular model / engine good for towing?
Thanks and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and learning!
