Default New F150 Owner

New Owner of an FX4 EB Screw and loving it. Traded in my 2004 ranger scab 4x4 at 178,000 miles because the tranny was starting to slip. It was a great truck and that was the first problem it ever had.
Not sure who had the bigger smile me or my son (7years). He was a little tired of the jump seat when heading to the lake. I am getting 21mpg overall and no longer giving birth to the steering wheel, win win. Only downside was the ranger was paid off.

Well is a few years later truck is paid off and has a 130,000 miles today

Through these forums I have gotten through some issues and wanted to say thanks.

I have had most of the problems this truck has presented to people since birth... I had the transmission seals replaced at around 30k miles. I had the CAT replaced at around 56k miles. It fell flat on its face one stormy night on the way to the beach and went into limp mode.

I drilled the inter cooler at 90k miles which helped with the shudder issue. What I have learned is this truck loves spark plugs and was eating them like candy before I drilled the intercooler. I replaced last night which went for about 40k miles (I replacement now when ever I feel a shudder that I can easily repeat it, if you wait to long a coil pack will also get damaged. I figured that t on one of the new set of plugs didn't fix the problems.

Still love the truck and this morning she performed like the day I got her. I get between 480 and 520 miles per tank of gas. Lifetime average says 19.5 but it the computer.
