Default New from East Texas

Hi everyone. I've always been a chevy guy but a couple of weeks ago I ran across a 2005 King Ranch supercrew 4x4 that I couldn't pass up for the price. I payed $2000 for it needing some engine work. So we'll see how I like it after I get it running.

I though it was a very good deal also. The guy I got it from claimed it had jumped timing. The timing cover was off as well as the valve covers. After I got it to the house I found a follower had fell out on the passenger side the cam was pretty scored up and the follower was missing the roller. Heads are now at the machine shop who said the cam would have to be replaced and have one on the way. As well as a timing set and gaskets.

My friends live in Coffee City by Palestine. I'm actually moving up to Tyler in a month. It's pretty cool up there

We usually go to Tyler at least once a week they've got a lot better choice of restaurants. Coffee city is one big speed trap usually we never go through there without the police set up on the side of the road with a radar.
