So im really hoping i can get great advice from the members here. im very new to trucks in general. im looking into buying my first truck for my business (Residental Renovation). I dont have a large budget due to wedding planning so i would like the community's help in picking a proper truck that wont scare.. my price range is between $10000-20000 give or take a few $1000s.

Welcome to the forum.
Still depends on actual function of the truck. Will you be towing on a regular basis? Would you rather have the 6.5' bed vs the 5.5' bed? I'm sure other users will have more helpful input.

I intend to buy a 6x10 trailer and would also want the 6 1/2 box

Welcome to our little dysfunctional family. That's me in middle. You should fit right in.

Now on to the actual truck. The red one seems a better buy. 2 years newer for a few grand extra with the same KM. Do you need a bed cap? If so the black one is probably better value, but personally I'd rather have the newest gen, nicer more comfortable interior IMO.

Would the truck be your daily driver family vehicle also or just a work truck? If it's a family vehicle, I'd go for the red 2010. If it's purely a work truck, the 2008 is better value with the cap and the price.

I'm not the most knowledgable one on this, but IMO reason dictates since they both have the same engine, most systems should be shared and thus reliability should be similar. I haven't heard many complaints about interiors of 2010ish trucks either.

Do you know their service history?

I think my vote goes for 2yrs newer, but it's all about how they feel. You can usually tell which vehicles have been bashed on a bit.
