New from Colorado!
Good afternoon everyone, I'm from Colorado and just got a 1993 F-150 XLT regular cab long bed from a friend in Minnesota. It's stock, got a 302, EOD, 3.55s, Electronic shift transfer case, manual warn hubs, and 190,000 miles. It's the first F150 I bought, but not the first I've driven, and it needs some help.
I learned to drive in my Grandpa's 89 F150 with a 300 and M5OD, and continue to drive my Grandma's 01 F150 Supercrew with the 5.4 Triton. My other daily drivers are a 79 F350 XLT supercab dually with a 460 and a 5 speed ZF (used to have a granny 4 speed) that I put in. The 460 has a Edelbrock 4 barrel 650, MSD ignition, and a good old Flowmaster dual exhaust. My other truck is a 06 Toyota Tacoma (bleh) 2wd with a 2.7L 4 banger.
My family has owned F series and L series Fords since the F-1 in 1948, right now our current collection contains the following:
1955 F-100 (getting restored, right now it's got a Y block 292 for some reason or another)
1969 F-600 with a 534 Super Duty, 5 speed main with 2 speed axle, been in the family since it was new
1973 F-100 with the original 390 and 4 speed (owned since new)
1979 F-100 with a 300 and a 4 speed (truck has 325K miles and zero problems, owned since new)
1979 F-350
1989 F-150 with a 300 and M5OD, sadly it was hit by a drunk driver and the frame is totally destroyed but kept it for parts. (99,000 miles on it)
1993 F-150 (my "new" one)
3x 2001 F-150s, two supercabs with 4.6 tritons and the Supercrew with the 5.4 Triton, but one supercab was totalled in 07 and was parted out.
2008 F-150 with a 4.2L V6 and 4 speed auto, it's a basic work truck.
We also have a 1988 Ford LTL9000 with a 3406E Caterpillar and a 15 speed, and a 93 Ford LTL9000 Aeromax with a Detroit Series 60 and a 10 speed.
Needless to say, I come from a family of Ford F-Series fans, andI look forward to spending many hours here!
