new from central IL
new here and new to trucks! i picked up a 03 F150 heritage edition the other day. super cab, 4wd, 5.4L, 177K miles. im new to trucks, iv'e always owned/built cars for the 1/4 mile. i didn't buy the truck to be a badass off roader, i bought it for towing my trans am to the track!
i would like to do a few things but dont know where to start. i want to preform a tune up because i dont know the last time it happend. i want a brush guard, and a lift. what all do i need to do to preform a lift? what wheels/tires? do i have to swap gears after? what kind of lift? a friend said i can do it cheaply by buying lifting blocks...?
here is a quick pic, im going to get it cleaned up sometime this week and post more pics.
just for fun, here is what it will be towing to and from the track.
