Nice upgrade. I too had to get rid of my "impractical" car so I could get this.

Is that a 4.2 or 4.6?

Here is my old baby.

On your F150 badge on the fender it will say "F150" up top and then below will say "Triton" if it is a 4.6, or nothing under F150 if it is a V6.

By the way... Welcome to the F150 family.

It doesn't say anything under the f150 it looks like there was something there and it got rubber off..all of my paperwork says v8..I just checked under the hood and it has 8 valves..and I checked the belt configuration and it matched up to the 4.6..so I guess it's a v8..thanx for the welcome

Welcome to the forums! Only mistake you've made is not knowing anything about your engine.

I didnt get the truck for power or gas mileage or anything else specific...the only reason I got it was because I moved out into the woods in my city and I need to haul light loads..I bought the truck used..I didn't care if it was a big v6 or a small v8..it really didnt matter..as long as it's rear wheel drive and has a bed
