Question Intro

Hello, just joined, have a 1992 f150 custom 4x4 with a 4.9l engine auto trans, 8' bed. It has 70,000 original miles. I'm retired and getting less and less info about this truck. So I would appreciate any info this site can provide. I've run into some interesting problems such as a rusted oil pan which I replaced. No auto info gave me any correct advice as to how this was done. Even dealerships couldn't help. That's if they would talk at all. Well now I'm stuck with directionals that won't work, did the simple things check fuses, replace the flasher and for the last year or so the engine cuts out while driving. lt's monetary but not too safe when trying to leave an intersection. It only happens when it is hot, I mean 85 plus outside temp. When going up an incline or restarting when hot it will not start easily. I've replaced the windshield wiper motor, more of a pain than diffucult. Well I guess thats all for now. Bob.
