Default How do you fix a fuel door 04 F150

The fuel doors on the newer F150's are so flimsy
does anyone have resolution to this? I have a
magnet on it but vibrates open after about 2-3
hours of driving. Any help would be awsome.

Thanks Dee

Thanks SeniorFordTech. My Ford has since blew the second sparkplug and that was enough for me. ( the 2004 -? 5.4 engins are known for that.) I traded it in and bought a 4 door Toyota, tacoma. Took a bit of adjusting with the smaller truck, but I love it.

I put on a black billet aluminum fuel door, has a locking latch built into it. Don't have to worry about the flimsy plastic door vibrating around anymore

Better make sure that the recent recall doesnt affect you. There is a post in the general discussion forum that says that the frames are rotting out.
