New guy, live in Kodiak, Alaska
I'm a lifetime resident of Kodiak, Alaska. 21 years stuck on an island haha. it's by choice. anyway, I'm ASE certified in A4(steering&suspension), A5(brakes), and my personal favorite...X1(exhaust systems). i've been fabbing my own systems since freshman year. our high school auto shop has an exhaust tubing bender, one day i will. my '98 has dual 3" pipes going out the rear, swept to the side. with a flowmaster super 40 and 2 cats removed. A superchip, a throttle body spacer, 3" body lift, 2.5" torsion bar keys, 35" nitto mud-grapplers sitting in garage waiting for 18" XD SPY rims, a police issue siren & p.a. system (benefits of working at the city ) i suppose i could go on about it but i'm done. if anyone wants to know anything about where i live or what i do or what i know, it can't hurt to ask.

Welcome to the fun, am sure guys will be after your input. Spent 18 months at Ft Wainwright, Fairbanks. Really do miss the midnight sun at 1000 foot altitude. Buzzing moose and black bear in the Piper Colt PA 22 was a plus also. Perhaps someday, now that I'm on forced retirement, I'll get back there and see you down the road.

Welcome to the site!!!
I really feel for ya' too man. I'm in Florida and it's 56 degrees here and I'm freakin' HATING it. If I'm not hot then I'm not happy.....lol I would HATE to deal with snow like y'all do in Alaske.
Glad to have ya'!!!
