Default Hit a pothole. Do I need to have this fixed?

Went turkey hunting this morning. Lots of rain washed out a hole past a bridge on a gravel road. Didnt see it. About a 2 foot drop on passengers side. Boom. Im no auto body expert. Please take a look at these pics and let me know if i need to get this repaired or addressed in some way. I really appreciate your thoughts. Truck drives fine. No shudders. Wheel alignment fine. No steering issues. Hit a pothole. Do I need to have this fixed?-image.jpg2011 Ford F150 Supercrew Lariat Ecoboost.

I'm by far no expert. The welds still look intact (check for any visual cracks) other then the part being cosmetically bent I doubt this will impact the integrity or strength of it. Just my 2 cents.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Azuri. I checked the welds and the rest of the part. No cracks just bent a little so I guess I'm good. Hate to scar my truck but guess it could have been worse. Thanks again Phil

Is your truck still under warranty? If yes, take it in

Hmm I can't see warranty covering something like that. It's not a manufacture defect/failure.

It is under warranty. But I would prob have to run through my auto ins if it needs fixed. Anyone know what that part is called? It appears to be a bracket welded to the frame and bolted to a bar that extends to the opposite side.

Well others could be having the same trouble. And I'd get it fixed or you'll regret it later
