Hey - Newb (What Have I gotten myself Into??!?)
So, I should start by saying I've always loved Fords - am currently shopping for a 65-68 Mustang to rebuild. In the mean time, the wife and I have decided to get rid of our car with payments, and drive something we can afford - and that I can fix...
So here's where it gets interesting: I just bought a 91 Ford F150. Great deal... $700 with 118K miles - good rubber, good body - dents and dings, but I'll repaint it myself... The catch? Doesn't run. https://www.f150forum.com/images/smilies/blush.gif
I'm going to post in the older F150 section with some specifics, but I thought I'd stop in here first and say Hello! This looks like a good forum - great advice from what I've read.
PS. If you're interested in a head-scratcher (barely cranks even once - even when hooked up to jumpers??), and like to diagnose long distance, I could use the hand... I'll post in the older F150 forums with specifics in a minute. I'm going to be working on it dawn to dusk, every day until I get 'er up and runnin. I'd love any ideas... suggestions... Bronx cheers? Wish me luck!

Here's the post with specifics - thanks for looking! Any advice is welcome: https://www.f150forum.com/showthread...354#post214354

Thanks dewman, I'll need it. The engine photos on Craigslist are what sold me
After I get it running, the next step is to prep and sand the body for a cheapo paint job. I've read that doing all the prep work myself can turn even a super cheap job into something that looks like factory... given enough time and labor on my part
