Hello from southwest Virginia
Greetings from the southern and western tip of Virginia. I found you via a google search because my intermittent wipers on my 88 F150 would only work on high speed and google led me here. I didn't know that it was a common problem, but now its fixed thanks to the knowledge of you fine folks!
I have an 88 F-150 4x4 with the 5.0 engine and 4 speed (3 speed with granny gear as I call it) transmission. I've had it about 8 months and love it. I've been a Ford truck fan all my life. I've owned three F series trucks and two Broncos through the years.
I am wanting to put a 5 speed transmission in the 88 if I can find one, and if its not too difficult a swap. That 4 speed is a very high torque setup, but on the interstate it revs the engine pretty high just doing the speed limit.
Anyway, I'm glad to be here.
