Default Hello from South Florida (also a Ford Tech)

Thought I would say hello to all the Forum members and kick my feet up here, seems like a nice place . Work as a Diesel Tech at a local Ford Dealership and have been with Ford for 18 years. Also a Senior Master Tech. Picked up a 09 FX4 today and looking for a tips to make a great truck better!!

I love my job!! I get to go to work and work on Fords. Plus it supports my gun and motorcycle hobbies lol

Id love to get into something like that. What kind of process does it entail? (I'm 17. Don't know what i wanna do for a career yet)

welcome, for me, to make a good truck better is to get some exhaust done, its gotta sound mean, I just had my stock muffler cutout and a straight pipe installed untill I can afford a full system, sounds awesome

I got my first job at a dealership washing cars. I wound up getting promoted into the shop doing oil changes. Got my hands dirty doing that, then went to another dealership and got hired on as an apprentice. Did that for a year and half, then went out on my own. I ate a lot of crow and paid a lot of dues and did a lot of really crappy jobs that didn't pay very well. I never went to a tech school or ASSET program. I just learned as I went and went to Ford Cert Schools when they said i had to. You have to want to do it and have to understand that living as a flat rate tech is never going to be easy. Warranty sucks lol
