Default Hello from a new guy.

Picked up a 1994 F150 4.9L to fix up for my 15 year old son.
Needs more work than I first thought. Apparently it sat on a farm in eastern Washington for the past decade.
135K miles.
Tires look like new tread but are dry rotted (12 years old per Les Schwab). New tires going on tomorrow.
Replaced:
- exhaust pipe from cat back.
- Rear shocks
- steering gear (leaking out segment shaft and past rebuild stage)
- all linkage up front
- ball joints
- dash pad (from auto yard)
- clock spring (to clear air bag error)
- front right lamp assembly (from auto yard, $5)

Getting ready to replace:
- fuel injectors
- AIR rail (can't find a better name ) (leaking at several fittings)
- exhaust gasket
- head gasket (leaking a bit of coolant)
- valve cover gasket
- piston valve galley gasket as it is leaking a bit
- clutch and brakes next year

Lots of fun, but more than the truck is worth!

Any way, my introduction to this forum!
Looking forward to hearing from you all and getting good answers to my engine problems.

Welcome to the site

Sounds like some "fun" and if you can get your son involved he might learn "the joys of being a mechanic" (if he is not already helping)

Good luck and we will try to help.
