Hello From Jackson, WY; '98 ABS Issue
Howdee:
53 year old technomoronman here with a '98 that developed a problem this morning. The only reciprocation I can offer is good road, trail, fishing, and other outdoor information for Northwest Wyoming and South Central Colorado. Any help greatly appreciated.
We had freezing fog here this morning when I set out for a day of hiking with a 1hr. drive to trailhead. Just a few miles from my place my ABS light came on and started blinking. I pulled over, pumped the breaks, checked fluid level.
When I got back in truck started fine but I could not shift out of park; I can however shift if I put the hazard flashers on, so I got it to a parking lot in town.
I used 4WD drive yesterday in a bit of mud, never been a problem before, but first time I've used 4WD in a couple of months. It is Sunday and there are not any mechanics I know to call. As I said I am technomoronman. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help and thanks to the folks that put this forum together,
