Hello from Feralhog!
Hey all! I found this forum a while back, and it's been a bevy of great information for me. Some background:
- I'm only 30, but I'm a lifelong GM owner.
- every GM vehicle (all preowned) have crapped out on me at the 10 year mark (have owned a '93 that crapped out in '03, a '97 that crapped out in '07, and a 2000 that crapped out in 2010).
- my father, previously a lifelong GM owner, was tired of these same problems with his vehicles and bought a new F-150 King Ranch in 2010 and says it's the best truck he's ever owned. I love everything about his truck, from the power to the smooth ride to the interior to the way it looks.
- I sort of wanted an F-150 a few months ago, but ended up buying a 2011 GMC Sierra Z71. After 3 months, I'm already starting to have problems with it.
- I'm looking to cut my losses and trade for a ~2010 F-150
- I've currently got my eye on a 2009 Platinum (white, 4X4) w/ 72k miles
- I'm in love with the Platinums, King Ranches and Lariats, and I love the pics everyone puts on this site.
Anyone have any experience with the ~'09 to '10 Platinums? If so, what do you think? Thanks in advance!!
