Talking Hello Everyone Obert Has Bought His First Truck

Well I have been on a few different car forums over the last 5 years. And just recently parted out and traded in a super charged 2010 TSX.

This is my first truck a 2011 f150 and I did not have it more then 2 days and it had the service advance trac light come on. It's been is the shop for 5 days. They are replacing the front rack and doing a alignment. I should be picking it up this week and I hope I don't have to deal with this problem anymore.

Bought some weather tech window visors, spare tire jack kit, will be getting the windows tinted as soon as I get it back. Also picked up a complete almost new OEM user manuals and I front windshield weather tech sun shade

Would love to say I will be doing lots of stuff to this truck but going through a divorce and yeah it sucks

Anyways a couple of pics of my old ride and now my truck.

Did not have the truck long enough before it went into the shop so I only have one real pic.

I have a few small things I will be adding to the truck to make it safer to drive in the snow and off road a little but nothing major.

Thanks and I think the truck will be fun. Picked up a spare key, need to get it cut and programmed because it only came with one

It was missing the jack and tool kit, found one in eBay and it showed up yesterday.

Ordered weather tech front and rear window visors and a windshield sun shade.

And will be tinting the windows at 30% all the way around.

I will be getting a swing box in the future for tools and stuff. I have not decided on floor mats yet, it has some carpet ones in it but I think I am going to get the thick rubber weather tech ones when the time comes. The digital cut ones are great but they are just hard plastic.

Well just made a call to the dealer and my truck is finally done getting the new rack installed. I will be picking it up tomorrow so I am hoping for no further issues. I have made another tint appointment and I don't want to have to cancel again. Plus I will have a week to drive the truck before it gets the windows done. So I am hoping no issues so I can just enjoy the truck !

Welcome! Hope the issues get resolved soon. Those were my first few purchases as well. Sun shade, tint, WeatherTech floor liners, and AVS window visor things. All well worth it! Hope you enjoy the truck once you get it back!

Yaaaaaaaay got my truck back after a week. Dealer cover all repair cost and rental for a week. They paid close to 2g in repair and rental. Zero issues now with the advance light coming on due to a bad sensor in the rack.

Now just need to get a spare key to get it out of my key mode. Felt great to drive it again

So I am about to tint the Windows on my truck this weekend and I always have a hard time making up my mind on how dark. IMO 35% is to light and that's the legal limit where I live so I always do 30%. The tint shop will do what ever I want so I am thinking 25% this time but I don't want it to be to dark.

Just looking for opinions, I did see someone on here do 20%
