Hello from Brampton (Ontario, Canada)
New owner as of today, Aug 29, 2009.
F150, Platinum Super-crew, 4x4, 5'5" box.
White chocolate metallic, navigation, max towing package, liner, cargo extender, plus all that other stuff that was standard with the Platinum (hide-a-way boards, memory, a/c seats, leather, ...
Max tow gives the 11,200 pound tow, with super engine cooling, 1:20 stering ratio, and 3.73 limited slip. Hence, I wanted that. (planning for a future "investment".
Purchased from Erinwood in Mississauga, they had the only chocolate Platinum left in the Province, they did have a black and a blue, but me wanted the chocolate.
List was $61,000, I paid $44,500 plus taxes. A plan my ***- just negotiate a bit, and they dropped $900 more plus a liner. Drives me nuts.
Sold a 2002 AWD Chrysler mini van, I am done with Chrysler. I wanted the truck, timing was right, had the cash, ...

Nice ride man. You paid the right price, they wanted way too much (I love the truck as much as anybody else but that's a very high asking price) and I just built and priced the F150 on Ford.com and maxed everything out, it came out to $51,000. Either way, nice truck, hope you enjoy it and welcome.

I think I should have put quotes around the "A", as in "A" Plan. Stealerships and Ford are saying that you get the Employee pricing. REAL Employee pricing, ergo, "A" or "X" plans, are non negotiable. They took another $900 off their supposed "A" Plan. Whatever.
Chrysler did the same to us in 2006- we negotiated a price at 1 place, they renegged, so we went elsewhere, brought in a control number (employees can hand these out to friends/family) and it was $700 less then the other place. Negotiate I guess is the lesson.
The prices above are Canadian by the way, we get raped with exchange, and 13% taxes. Don't even start on that, I am having a good day..
Waxed it today. LOTS of 'rail dust' (small flecks of raw steel, usually from rail cars and such), on the whitish, you can really see where it landed and actually started to rust. Took some polish and cleaned about 100 spots, all on the passender side.
Added the bug deflector today, hopefully the tri-fold hard bed cover tomorrow.
