Last Wednesday, I brought home a 2012 Super Cab, 3.7 STX. I've driven Rangers for 14 years, but wanted extra room.

I was looking for a new F150, but the ones in my price range weren't available. Well, I guess the big guy was looking out after me, and this 2012 fell into my lap.

Here's why I grabbed it. She only has 16,000 km (10,000 miles). Immaculate, runs like a top. With winter coming on, I put some winter tires on her this afternoon and I'll be good to go when the snow flies.

There's a US/CDN dollar exchange difference, but the other great thing was that I got it for $21,888. She was $32,400 new.

Edited to add: the US price equivalent is $20,080.

Thanks all. Here are some pix. I put Michelin X-Ice winter tires on it Friday.I found some aluminum rims with sensors off of a 2011 F150 for $400 on kijiji, so I bought them too. It's been a 'spensive week, but I saved a ton of cash. Short term pain for long term gain.

You can see that it does not have a spray on bedliner. That will be added in the spring. I have a tonneau cover on the way - a Gator Trifold. The price was right - $288CDN or about $265 US.

It doesn't have the fancy nav/radio screen, but if I ordered one new, I would not have got that anyway. Years ago, I bought the wife a magic wagon with all the fancy power do-dads in it. When they started to break, I thought I'd have to mortgage the farm to pay for the parts!

I thought the STX version came with a spray on bedliner. Is that the case in the US?

Nope. The spray in liner or drop in liner is extra. Looks like a clean truck.

The previous owner was an elderly farmer who didn't drive it much. I'm guessing he probably only drove it into town for errands. He wanted something smaller. I'm surprised that it sat as long on the lot as it did. It was listed for almost 3 weeks. I don't know if they have the "swap your ride" ads running where you live, but I figure everyone was out to get a brand new ride and passed on this. Their loss.
