Default Greetings from the mtns of AZ...

Seems I'll be an F150 owner before too long. My Nissan Frontier is far from worn out at just 70k miles since new but I've been wanting something a little bigger for towing my smallish travel trailer. I ordered the King Cab Nismo with rare 6spd manual gearbox (sourced from Z-car) and while its fun to drive, it's not ideal for towing trailers - especially when backing up inclines.

I flip-flopped between F250 SD 4x4 vs F150 4x4 a few times and nearly bought a new SD at a nice price off a dealer lot 100+ miles from here. In the end, a truck that size and weight is overkill for my needs and be a shoehorn fit inside my garage anyway, so cancelled that deal and decided to order what I'd really enjoy.

The config I've chosen is below. Let's not go there debating EB and 6.2 motors. I'm old school of "ain't no replacement for displacement" mindset plus a twin-turbo V6 in a truck just seems odd, even though I've read reviews and watched youtube videos showing how well those puffer motors perform. IMHO, my config will be a more practical and affordable version of Raptor. Think I'm gonna like it!

Looks like it should tow...

Only thing I would skip is the tire upgrade. They still aren't a great tire, better to buy your own after.

Thanks for the comment on tire upgrade. I've wrestled with doing that vs replacing right after but figured $234 net difference would be economical. Unsure what OEM tires come with that upgrade? My preferred tire is BFG A/Ts (running 2nd set LT265/75R16E BSW on my Nismo now) which wear like iron. I prefer BSW vs RWL although would be same RWL deal on LT275/65R18 BFG ATs ($287 MSRP) or Michelin ATX A/T2 ($307 MSRP) in that size. I'm not gonna put mudder tires on this truck. I have GY MT/Rs on my jeep which serves well for weekly trail runs in rocky terrain just fine. Um, no "desert pinstripes" for my new F150!
