my 93 spits and sputters while accelerating
it does it alll they time slowly pushing on the gas. but when i floor it wont do it. there is no smoke or leaks it feels kinda slugish to me. i was wondering if there was a common thing that goes in that gen. f150 or if anyone knows whats going on with it please let me kno

This will tell you if things like O2 sensors, throttle position sensors, EGR valve and such are out of wack. After this you check things like injectors which if they are dribbling will cause your problem.
Please don't start throwing parts at it. If you do not have the experience with this sort of thing just take it to a good tune up shop and let them do the work it does not take long when throwing parts at a problem to exceed the cost of paying a good mechanic to fix it.
It is not like it was in the old days with points and coil ignitions and leaded fuel with required tune up every 7.500 to 15,000 miles or so. You will pay $350 dollars or so for a good tune up that will last 50,000 plus miles. bad injectors will raise the price, and additional replacement parts as well but most of the time you end up ahead of the game. I am a competent mechanic my only limitations are special tooling having said this I find myself taking my F150 in to get it fixed even when I know exactly what is wrong with it. I just don't have the time.
