Default New Member 2014 F150 Ecco Boost

Hi Folks. I'm new to this forum and not familiar with posts and replies yet. I own a F150 King Ranch with Ecco boost. Purchased it new and was lured by the advertised fuel mileage and towing capacity. However, I've not been happy with the MPG. I was getting about 18 to 19 highway and 15 to 16 City driving. I recently installed a Banks Ram air intake and the fuel economy actually decreased. I sent an email to BANKs and have not received a reply. So I removed the RAM Air intake and replaced stock equipment. Stared looking on the WEB for related comments and got on the link to this site.

If anyone can direct me to an information source I would be appreciative. When I purchased the Ram Air from BANKS I asked them if it was necessary to install the modified exhaust or their tuner to see the improved performance and of course they said it wasn't required. What have others done or used to improve ECCo Boost performance?

Default Banks RAm Air

I had one installed on my 2014 ecoBoost too. Have noticed worse gas mileage. I'm going from South Cal to Santa Fe on the 9th of September. I'll see

Thanks for the reply. I'd like to hear if you take any action on this issue. After reading some posts in this Forum I, developing some concerns about what modifications can be done without jeopardizing warranties.

The warranty on my 2014 was 36,000; that's weak from the get-go. I'm paying Xtr for extension to 60.000 miles. That's weak too. Either Ford doesn't believe in EcoBoost engine or they figure . . . It's such a good engine, it doesn't need a warranty. I doubt that. Oh well, in California, there's the lemon Law
