Getting my F150 FINALLY
Hey everyone, just checking in as a new member.
While new to this site, I've been involved in a few forums from my DSM and Honda days. I FINALLY got an F-150 (not my first Ford, I've had T-bird, Sport Trac, Escort, wife drives Freestyle), been wanting one for years. It's an 05 Supercab with 5.4L. Unfortunately, it won't be ready until Monday because it had a roof visor on it that i told the dealer had to go before I bought. So, it will spend the weekend in the body shop and I will anxiously await it's arrival at the dealer. I'm a little nervous about the spark plugs, truck has 50k on it and I doubt they've ever been changed. Worse case, I'll have a reason to use the thousands of dollars worth of tools I've told my wife were an absolute necessity ;-)
I do have plenty of plans for mods. I've already bought a set of 23" Saleen wheels that should arrive about the same time as the truck. Shopping for CAI and exhaust as well as programmer.
Sorry for rambling on. Excited to be here, more excited to finally get my long awaited truck!!!

Got my truck, absolutely love it. Finally got a pic to post. Lots of new parts on the way. One catch, engine light came on this morning on my way to work. Was hoping to get more than 250 miles on 'er before I had to start diagnosing problems. Hopefully its nothing major, it still runs fine. So the saga begins...........

Nice looking truck and an impressive list of mods for only having it in your driveway for a few days. On the spark plug thing, I was worried too but I talked to my father in law who is a mechanic for a city in MI. He said they have mostly Ford trucks and even with the extensive idol time there's have, they have yet to break one of the plugs off changing them. Just follow the TSB and take your time he says.
