Default Gary Little

Hi. I'm Gary Little, retired from Army, live in Richfield, Kansas, and own a 1981 Ford F150, operated by 381 horses and one ***. Would anyone be able to tell me where to find the fuel filter? Thanks.

Welcome Gary!

Not sure where the fuel filter is on your model. I recommend purchasing a Chilton's or Haynes repair manual, they are worth the $. Someone else will be able to help, I am sure, once they have had their coffee.

If I am not mistaken it is actually mounted in the carb if it is not inline between the pump and carb.

Welcome to the site!

I will second the idea of getting a shop manual for your truck, as it makes many repairs much easier.

Thanks for the replies and the welcome. My first thought was a shop manual but I couldn't find one. Any suggestions? This is an old truck but I like it and have some issues that a shop manual would sure help me with. Thanks a lot.

Chilton's or Haynes repair manuals can be found at your local auto parts store, like Autozone or PepBoys or AdvanceAuto.
